The social activists of Trust observed that the slum dwellers have no awareness of the Programmes implemented by Government for their Welfare. With a need to take up development activities in slum areas ,Trust started working for unauthorized J.J. Clusters established in Trans Yamuna, Delhi East in which majority of population belongs to Scheduled Castes, Backward Classes migrated from different States. As per survey conducted by Trust, it was observed that rehabilitated colonies like Kalyanpuri, Trilokpuri, Khichripur, Kalyanvas, Mandawali, Ghazipur, Kondali etc. in which labour classes from Schedule Castes and Other Backward Classes were on higher side and working as Labour in factories, shops, restaurants, rickshaw pullers, coolies road construction, building construction etc. has a vast majority of community with minimum wages. The literacy rate among them was very low and hardly 20 percent or below.

Trust started activities right from survey of selected resettlement colonies to identify the potential beneficiaries and identified unemployed youth including women and created awareness for the programmes of the Government implemented for the welfare of poor families for their upliftment like education, skill development Programmes, family welfare, institutional finance for self employment etc. The interested unemployed poor people were also motivated to form their groups to set up their work. These awareness programmes are conducted every year by mobilising community people.
